Welcome to Fuctional Nutrition

Hi, I’m Marketa Simal, MA, FNTP, RHP a functional nutritionist specializing in perimenopause and menopause health.

I work with women who feel like their bodies are changing in ways that feel confusing, frustrating, or out of their control—fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, sleep disruption, anxiety, and hormonal shifts that don’t feel like “them.”

My focus is not just symptom management. I use a root-cause functional nutrition approach to help uncover what is actually contributing to how you feel.

 

What is Functional Nutrition?

Functional nutrition looks at how systems in the body work together rather than in isolation.

Together, we explore key areas such as:

  • Blood sugar regulation and metabolic health

  • Gut health and digestion

  • Stress response and nervous system balance

  • Inflammation and immune function

  • Nutrient status and hormonal pathways

The goal is to understand your unique picture—not apply a one-size-fits-all protocol.
